Fidel will be your main guide during your stay, accompanying you throughout your activities and ensuring a safe, well-organized, and enjoyable experience at Rancho El Ojo. His knowledge of the land and surroundings will help make your visit both memorable and authentic.
Lucy Morales & Gabriela Quiroga – Hospitality & Culinary Team
Lucy and Gabriela are in charge of making sure your home during your stay is comfortable, clean, and welcoming. In addition, they prepare each meal with a perfect balance of traditional ranch-style flavors and city-inspired cuisine, always with great care and dedication.
We kindly ask for your patience and support when communicating with our team. Using a translator when needed is greatly appreciated, always in a respectful and friendly manner.

Hunting Areas
Hunting activities will take place in the following designated areas:
– Datileras
– Cerro del Fraile
– Novillero
– El Pino
– Maika Grounds
At each of these locations, Fidel will be accompanying and guiding the group, indicating areas with higher animal activity and ensuring a safe, well-organized experience. Each hunter will be able to choose their preferred hunting spot and position during the scheduled hunting turns.
These hunting areas have been carefully prepared over several months, with dedicated planning and management, to provide optimal conditions and deliver the best possible hunting experience.

Casa de Maika
Casa de Maika is a traditional ranch-style home offering some of the best views in the area. It is a warm and welcoming space where guests can relax and enjoy outstanding meals, always served hot and prepared with great care, making it a central gathering place during your stay.
Maika Volcano
Although access to the volcano is restricted, it can be admired from designated viewpoints. This extinct volcano offers a stunning and unforgettable landscape, standing as one of the most impressive natural features of the region.
Origen Raíz Vinata – “Del Espíritu”
The vinata is where Origen Raíz mezcal is produced and represents an essential part of the Rancho El Ojo experience. While hunting is one of the experiences offered at the ranch, Origen Raíz plays a vital role in our identity.
